Resistance welding electrode

Electrode materials

Tungsten Copper Plate Production Process
Powder preparation
The tungsten and copper powders are first prepared separately. The tungsten powder is obtained by reducing tungsten oxide with hydrogen at a high temperature. The copper powder is usually obtained by electrolysis or atomization. The particle size and purity of the powders are critical to the properties of the final product.
Mixing
The tungsten and copper powders are then mixed in the desired ratio using a ball mill or a high-speed mixer. The mixture is usually made up of 50-90% tungsten and 10-50% copper, depending on the application.
Pressing
The mixed powder is compacted into a pre-determined shape and size using a hydraulic press. The pressure applied varies depending on the size and density required. The green compact is then sintered to achieve the desired strength and density.
Sintering
The pressed powder is sintered at a temperature of around 1200-1400°C in a vacuum or reducing atmosphere. The tungsten and copper powders react during sintering, forming a metal matrix with tungsten particles dispersed throughout. The sintering process also reduces the pore volume, increasing the density of the material.
Machining
The sintered plate is then machined to the desired dimensions using a CNC milling machine. This step ensures that the final product meets the required specifications and tolerances.
Surface treatment
Finally, the tungsten copper plate may undergo surface treatment such as polishing, plating, or coating to enhance its appearance or improve its corrosion resistance.
Tungsten copper packaging
Tungsten is stable in air and packed without vacuum seal, unless requested. Wooden crater is applied when the cargo is over weight.
