Boring Tools from ZZKD are small-format indexable inserts engineered for internal turning, boring, grooving-in-hole and fine finishing of pre-drilled bores on CNC lathes, Swiss-type machines and precision machining centers. Unlike external turning where rigidity is high, boring operates on a cantilever tool with limited clearance-so insert geometry must stay sharp, compact and vibration-tolerant.
Our boring insert line covers CCGT / TBGT / TPGH / DCGT / TNGG / WNGG / VNGG / WBGT ISO shapes in 3.5–12.7 mm inscribed circle, with left/right hand, neutral and special relief versions (L / R / L-B / R-B / L-S etc.) matching standard boring bars and micro-tools.
Why Boring Needs Different Inserts
Space-limited cutting zone: thin insert body, tight tolerances, small nose radius (0.1–0.8 mm) to avoid interference with bore wall.
Chatter sensitivity: positive rake + light hone keeps cutting force low in long-overhang boring.
Finish-driven: many items are ground all-over (G-class) for Ra ≤1.6 μm in aluminum, brass, mild steel and cast iron bores.
Multi-material: same holder accepts P/M/K/N grades-fine-grain CVD/PVD carbide for steel, uncoated H-grade for non-ferrous, K-grade for cast iron.
ZZKD controls substrate sintering, edge prep and coating in-house, so distributors get repeatable geometry batch-to-batch rather than mixed off-the-shelf stock.
